Four papers accepted for publication at INForum 2013

The papers "Uma abordagem alto nível ao controlo de concorrência componível centrado nos dados", "Esqueletos Algorítmicos para Paralelismo de Tarefas em Sistemas Multi-GPU", "Replicação Parcial com Memória Transacional Distribuída",  and "Uma Abordagem Sistema para o Paralelismo Hierárquico em Sistemas Multi-core", reporting the ongoing work of my Master students Daniel Parreira, Fernando Alexandre, João André Silva and Nuno Delgado have been accepted as a full papers for publication at 

Article accepted for publication in the JCSS journal

The article "Heterogeneous Computing with Single Operation Multiple Data", an extended version of the paper presented at the 14th IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing & Communication (HPCC 2012), has been accepted for publication in a special issue of the Elsevier Journal of Computer and System Sciences.

MSc thesis "On the Cloud Deployment of a Session Abstraction for Service-Data Aggregation"

João Domingos has publicly defended his MSc thesis entitled On the Cloud Deployment of a Session Abstraction for Service/Data Aggregation supervised by Prof. Maria Cecília Gomes and co-supervised by myself. 

Paper accepted for publication at Euro-Par 2013

Paper Algorithmic Skeleton Framework for the Orchestration of GPU Computations has been accepted for publication at the 19th European Conference on Parallel Processing (Euro-Par 2013) to be held in Aachen, Germany, from August 26 to August 30. The acceptance rate was about 26.8%.

Extended version of the paper presented at the 6th International Conference on Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering (MUE 2012) accepted for publication in the International Journal of Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence. More info can be found here.

MSc thesis "Algorithmic Skeleton Framework for the Orchestration of GPU Computations"

Ricardo Marques has publicly defended his MSc thesis entitled Algorithmic Skeleton Framework for the Orchestration of GPU Computations, being awarded a classification of 19 out of 20.

Paper presented at ICA3PP 2012

Paper Enhancing Service-Oriented Computing with Software Mobility presented by Gilberto Camacho at the The 12th International Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing (ICA3PP-12) that took place in Fukuoka, Japan, from September 4 to September 7. The acceptance ratio of this year's edition was 25% for regular papers.

S-Cube 2012 proceedings published

The proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Systems and Software (S-Cube) 2012 have been published by Springer-Verlag under Lecture Notes of the Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering. The book can be accessed from this location.
