We are looking for candidates for a PhD fellowship in paleontology, incorporated at the Department of Earth Sciences of FCT- NOVA, Portugal.

The application is through a competitive call for PhD Fellowships at FCT funding agency (Portugal).

Ideal candidates have a Master degree and one or more scientific publications.

Eligibility: National citizens, citizens of other European Union member states, third-country nationals who hold, valid residence permits in Portugal (up to the date at the start of the scholarship) or who are beneficiaries of long-term resident status, or citizens from countries with which Portugal has entered into reciprocal agreements.

1) Get your documents ready 

1. Read the call for PhD Fellowships at FCT funding agency (Portugal). 
2. Get your documents ready: bacherlate and master degree diplomas.
3. Ask for two reference letters. 
4. If your education was not in a Portuguese institution, the degree and master diplomas needs to be recognized in the Portuguese system. This takes time, prepare it in advance. More info at DGES. This is important.
