Science Outreach
As Research Lab Embassador of XTAL for the Science Communication & Outreach activities of UCIBIO-NOVA, I promote our achievements in the Group's website (https://sites.fct.unl.pt/xtal/) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/XtalNOVA) and also foster our participation in regular activities:
- projects “Dia Aberto da FCT”, “Dia da Química” and ExpoFCT, organized every year by the Chemistry Department of FCT-UNL and
- project “Ciência Viva”, of the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation, Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior.

Since 2006 and on a regular basis, I collaborate with the Journal Science in School: “the European journal to promote inspiring science teaching by encouraging communication between teachers, scientists and everyone else involved in European science education”.
I contribute to this project by translating to Portuguese several articles that I find of interest to young students. After translation, the articles are made available online:
