Description

In order to inform policies, science community and public, our research project seeks to improve expertise in the field of industrial relations, to builds on and contributes to following dimension of knowledge: employment, working conditions and social protection of frontier, seasonal and migrant workers under the COVID 19 crises and social dialogue and collective bargaining in this regard. We will conduct six case studies in Spain, Greece, Portugal, Poland, Serbia and North Macedonia lead by University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University Skopje Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus”, University of Thessaly, UNINOVA and Institute of Public Affairs from Poland. Thanks to strong cooperation of research institutions with key players of industrial relations in respective countries - trade unions, employer organizations and labour decision making - we are able to conduct the research based on empirical data derived from in-depth interviews/focus groups and surveys with relevant stakeholders and mobile workers. The project supports the strategy laid out in President van der Leyen’s Strong Social Europe report by putting focus on access to labour market, fair working conditions and social protection and inclusion, particularly of those the most vulnerable affected. The final result of research will be country specific comparative study, which should provide evidence based data on ongoing trends in 6 EU Member States and Candidate Countries with specific and different industrial relations and to provide recommendations and conclusions for further theory and practice in Europe.
