Participation as research partner.

Contrafake focused on the development of AI-based computational resources and technological tools to support the fight against digital disinformation. The project addressed the aggregation and analysis of information from social networks and other digital sources, aiming to protect and support communication professionals, citizens, and institutions in identifying and responding to fake news and misleading content.

Participation as research partner.

ringo focuses on modelling and simulation of lime kiln operation in the pulp industry, particularly the study of ring formation phenomena. The project uses physics-based simulation to support predictive analysis, process optimisation, and the possible development of a digital twin for operational monitoring.

DIVERSITY developed a cloud-based engineering environment for product-service system design in globally distributed enterprises. It supported context-sensitive knowledge search, feedback from the product-service lifecycle, and the transformation of stakeholder input into design improvements.

LifeSaver developed context-sensitive ICT tools to support energy savings and emissions trading in industrial environments. The project combined ambient intelligence, energy monitoring, contextual data, and decision support to help manufacturing companies optimise energy performance.

EnPROVE developed software tools to predict building energy consumption using measured performance and usage data. It supported decision-making in building renovation by comparing alternative energy-efficient technologies and control solutions.

FLOW developed advanced nonlinear and adaptive control methods for processes with transport phenomena. Its case studies included highway traffic density, water distribution canals, and large-scale distributed heat exchangers, all sharing modelling structures based on hyperbolic partial differential equations.
