Bio
Regina Monteiro graduated in Chemistry (Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, 1976) and got a PhD in Ceramics (University of Sheffield, U.K., 1981). She is Associate Professor at Materials Science Department (DCM) of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, New University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL) and member of Materials Research Center of the Institute of Nanostructures, Nanomodelling and Nanofabrication (CENIMAT|i3N). She has been involved in different research activities which include processing and characterization of ceramics and glasses, sintering of oxide ceramic powders, studies of structure-microstructure-properties relationships, formation and crystallization of glasses from ceramic oxides and synthesis and characterization of glass-ceramics.
