Ana Sofia Branco dos Santos was born in 1994 in Almada, Portugal. She obtained her B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2015 and her M.Sc. in Bioorganic Chemistry from the same institution in 2017. At present she is a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Maria Manuel Marques and Prof. Artur Silva. Her research is focused on the synthesis of indole azaindole-base compounds, particularly using metal-catalysed reactions. She is also involved in the development of new and more sustainable methods for attaining these structures.
