Tara Brough was awarded with a Pos-doc grant from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. Tara aims to develop new directions in the study of word problems and related topics for groups and semigroups. Together with Alan Cain we will be responsable for the guidance and execution of her project.
Ricardo Guilherme, a PhD student at FCT-UNL, obtained a PhD grant from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.In the area of mathematics, only 3 scholarships were awarded, with Ricardo being the first.Ricardo is doing the PhD under my guidance and of researcher Alan Cain.
