I am an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics, at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL). I am also a member of the Centro de Matemática e Aplicações (CMA), UNL.

I did my Ph.D. at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.

During this period I worked at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC) with Gabriela Gomes (IGC) and Carlota Rebelo Gonçalves (FCUL) on mathematical models for tuberculosis transmission and control.

I work on differential equations applied to mathematical models for infectious diseases.
