DIGISTART - Support Ecosystems for Digital Startups

The project DIGISTART aims to provide a supporting European-Wide ecosystem for helping Web Entrepreneurs especially University Students navigate through the challenges by supporting and connecting them to the right resources. It aims to build a supporting ecosystem of innovation activities that would harness the capabilities of the largest European online platform for startups and web entrepreneurs: F6S, to deliver an enhanced web-based platform. It aims to bring about increased networking and coordination between the various business accelerators, investors, mentors across Europe to coordinate their activities to reach a much wider audience. It further helps to support the academic and research community by proposing academic curriculum to imbibe entrepreneurship skills to university students and to develop Business Analytical Tools that can help digital startups optimise their business models and pricing decisions.

SEMANTIK

SEMANTIK aims to bring Semantic Web standards to internal Competitive Intelligence and Business Intelligence activities. Searching web sources and normalizing data to internal databases and ontologies that later are processed to bring up-to-date and reliable insights about the business environment: • Creation of integrated models of models and approaches of Intellectual Capital, the Strategic Foresight and Knowledge Management organizations. • Creation of a meta- model based on ontology and folksonomy development of Business. • Development of an aggregating platform semantic information based on research and web crawlers (Radian6 , Google , SM2 , etc. ) engine that lets you search information taking into account linguistic differences • Interface with the extremely intuitive and user friendly in terms of research and in terms of output results SEMANTIK vision is to change the way companies use web sources to support decision-making

3i Building - Intelligent, Immersive and Interactive Building

3i Buildings Project – Intelligent, Interactive and Immersive Buildings aims to develop a management tool targeted for complex urban infrastructures (hospitals, shopping centers, airports, etc.), capable of capturing a large volume of data generated inside and in real time through "things" sensors (equipment, spaces, objects, etc.) and people (opinions, levels of satisfaction, comfort, etc). Beyond communication "building - management center" and "users - management center", achieved through the application of concepts Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Internet of People (IoP)), the project aims to integrate the state of the art scientific body Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and gamification in order to extend the dialogue and make it bidirectional.

Vortal Social Apps

The Vortal Social_Apps project aims to further develop the existing B2B platform used by Vortal and incorporate new technologies and innovative features in the following three main areas: Social Networking, Platform as Service and Semantic search.

Business Interoperability for Collaborative Platforms with Axiomatic Design Theory for Lean, Agile, Resilient and Green Industrial Ecosystems

The aim of this research project is to develop methodology to enable the detailed design of ICT-based platforms that is able to deliver high levels of Business Interoperability, as measured by the Interoperability Quotient for Collaborative Business Processes (BIQMM). The design methodology for Business Interoperability platforms will be grounded on the Axiomatic Design Theory that will provide a solid theoretical background. Agent-based modeling is used to analyse how different options in the eight Business Interoperability Parameters may impact the BIQMM and the overall performance regarding the ability to design and produce products in a lean, agile, resilient and green supply chain / ecosystem. Case studies in the automotive/manufacturing sectors and architecture, engineering and construction sectors are being conducted.
