This annual event organized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), together with U.N. Day of Women and Girls in Science aims to establish an active network of people of all genders to overcome barriers to gender equality in science. #GWB2023 is also an iconic event of the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development, bringing together people from all scientific disciplines.
As Hilaire Belloc said “If there is one portion of Europe which was made by the sea more than another, Portugal is that slice, that portion, that belt. Portugal was made by the Atlantic Ocean”.
