Filipe Amarante dos Santos

Filipe Amarante dos Santos is an Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department, at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL). He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from UNL and also holds a M.Sc. degree in Structural Engineering from Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. His main research interests are related to the development of light, adaptive structures, inspired by tensegrity and origami and featuring smart materias, like shape-mnemory alloys.
