Isabel Gomes

Isabel Gomes is associate professor at the Department of Mathematics of the Nova School of Science and Technology and a researcher at the Operational Research group at the Center for Mathematics and Applications (Nova University of Lisbon).

She holds a degree in Applied Mathematics - Operational Research from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova Lisboa. In 2001, she completed her master's degree in Operational Research and Systems Engineering (Technical University of Lisbon) and, in 2007, her doctorate in Industrial Engineering and Management (Technical University of Lisbon), with the thesis entitled "Design and planning of closed-loop supply chains".

Licenciada em Matemática, ramo de Investigação Operacional, pela Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova Lisboa, desde 1996. Em 2001 termina o mestrado em Investigação Operacional e Engenharia de Sistemas (Universidade Técnica de Lisboa) e, em 2007, obtem o grau de Doutor em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial (Universidade Técnica de Lisboa), com a tese intitulada “Gestão e planeamento de cadeias de abastecimento em ciclo fechado”.

Actualmente exerce funções como professora associada no Departamento de Matemática da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova Lisboa e integra como investigadora a linha de Investigação Operacional do Centro de Matemática e Aplicações (UNL).
